Known Issues/Faults

1. Factory exhaust elbow continually cracks as it is made from wrong material. I have email from Lombardini confirming this. I had a new one manufactured locally with an additional flexible coupling added. 
2. The above allows seawater into bilge. Because of the poor position of the starter motor, low under engine, it gets wet and dies. I killed several in my first few years. Last one was coated in a heavy spray on Ute (truck bed) liner and now seems ok. 
3. Above has lead to one alternator failure. 
4. Oil pressure gauge sender rusted out and leaked. Replaced with VDO unit. Sender is low on starboard side of block, approximately under fuel filter.
